Jennifer
Wozny is the vision behind Champion Reading. Wozny began the
company in 1983 with two students whom she taught at her kitchen
table. The result: Champion Reading, a reading enhancement
course which provides immediate and measurable results for students
of all ages.
Under Wozny's leadership, Champion Reading enables students to triple
their reading rates by improving concentration, comprehension, speed
and long-term retention.
Another of Wozny's developments is
the extensive use of the "Mind Map," an exercise which
links the abstract process of thought with the concrete process
of writing, causing a strong and memorable link in the learning
and retention process. The technique of Mind Mapping has been
incorporated into Power Learning as a means of furthering the progress
of students in those classes. This has now emerged as a stand-alone
course which is introduced into groups wanting to expand their thinking,
efficiency, and creativity, and also as a developmental tool within
groups, corporations and institutions.
Wozny is a native of London, England, receiving her education there
before coming to the United States in 1969. Wozny's courses have
met with much success whether taught at public or private schools,
universities, corporations, or individually at the Champion Learning
center Power Learning Centers in Northwest Houston and Sugar Land.

CHAMPION READING is a reading enhancement
course which provides immediate and measurable results for students
of all ages. Power Learning was started in 1983 by Jennifer Wozny
in Houston, Texas, USA. The course she developed, Champion Reading,
was formerly known as Power Reading, but the name was changed to
more adequately reflect what the course was doing for Mrs. Wozny's
students. Students became champion readers and learners!
